Other than the driver’s seat being crushed, all is well. Even with that, it’s far more comfortable than I imagined it would be. Currently breaking a curse, as the only car that didn’t make a Sheetz run was the GTI.

The seats in these are famously panned for not being supportive enough. How is it for bolstering and support, aside from being ruined, I mean ?

The seats are always an issue. The springs that the C5 uses are basically wires suspended between the sides of the seat, and the foam just gets cut right down to nothing. When you redo the foam, go get some canvas to spread across the springs to stop this from happening.

I also suggest finding a set of C6 Z06 seats to swap in, because they are awesome!

It’s the 5.7 LS6, and it will take 87 but it prefers 91/93.

Definitely a great car for long drives (other than a lack of usable cup holders, which can be solved via aftermarket parts ).
